Implementing ideas is not a beeline process. Give incertitude and surprise a chance. Ideas done? by Yves Bennaim, ZLOK, Geneva

Yves Bennaim, CEO of ZLOK and organizer of TEDxGeneva 2009, answered to the question in French: “What percentage of ideas are actually carried out in your company?”. He says that personally very few ideas are implemented, 1% or 1‰. Professionally, he tries to filter the ideas from the start, so he finally implements 99% or almost 100%. Can he implement the idea? Is the idea feasible? These are the questions he asks himself as soon as possible. He says that you need to have many ideas, try many directions, but don’t dream too much when you work. One has to be reasonable. But…, then he adds, but nonetheless we have to keep the notion of “incertitude” or “uncertainty” in mind.
