Shall you monetize ideas? Ideas done? by Simon Sinek, Start with Why, New York

Simon Sinek, CEO of Sinek Partners, New York, answered in English to the question:”What percentage of ideas are actually carried out in your company?”. He implements only very few ideas, but his goal is to come up with as many ideas as possible. He kindly answered to a second questions. Generosity seems to be his main trait. He said that the ideas he does not implement, he shares them or he gives them away, because intellectual property is always free. You can monetize the implementation of the intellectual property, but ideas are free.

Simon Sinek’s book: Start with Why. And here is his blog.

Interview made at CreaDigital Day in Geneva, 14 January 2010, that was organized by the Ecole de Creation en Communication, Geneva, where he held a truly inspiring conference!

The token of inspiration Simon Sinek gave to the idea detective. “These tokens are reminders to always do the things that inspire you. If you inspire someone or want to thank someone for inspiring you, perhaps you will pass on your token of inspiration to them. If we all do this – we can inspire the world.” I wont forget this. Thank you very much for your generosity.
